Discursive - discussion about a subject from different angles.

- arguments - agreeing and disagreeing.

Descriptive - narrative on a particular topic.

Proposals.

Comparisons - often using a graph of what happened in the past compared with the present situation.

Books will usually tell you the different phrases or words used to introduce the subject.
